Success for the 1st Ascent Guard
A day bathed in sunlight, heats the first edition of 1 ^ Ascent Guard which was attended by over 170 athletes (very good result for a first edition) and many walkers that invaded the path of 'ex-rail. Result of competitive value with the victory of Gabriele Poggi and Varoli Giovanna (Italian champion a few days of orientation category)

Gaiazza (Genova - Bolzaneto)
hillclimb of 6.550 km along the conveyor path of the former to the Sanctuary of the Madonna della Guardia,
third and final round of 1 Trophy Cambiaso Risso Running Team.
In less than 10 days will start the first edition of the Ascent to the Guard, non-competitive race of 6.550 km walk to free walk and walking the path in the former conveyor through the woods of Mount Figogna.
The Ascent Guard x is a special occasion to spend a day outdoors with friends and fans of the race and walk on a hiking trail reclassified by the City of Ceranesi , that path will lead athletes to enjoy the mountains and forts that overlook the Valpolcevera.
Even up to this race has been and will be the commitment of the organizers of Cambiaso Risso Genova Running Team to provide the best level of service to participants.
Here, below, the main general information and the Regulations of the event:
MEETING AND DEPARTURE:
Meeting: Sunday, September 28 from 7.30 in the locality Gaiazza (Ceranesi). The start of the walk to free walk is fixed at 9.00 while the foot race will start at 9.30.
The event will take place in all weather conditions.
REGISTRATION:
- we recommend the pre-registration by Saturday, September 27 by calling 347/90.46.694 (Roberto Porro) 349/1371964 or (Paolo Pelloni)
- for those who parked our car on arrival (at the shrine of the Guard) is recommended pre-entry, with possibility to the heating down to the starting area and leave any bags on 'special truck made available by the organizers, bags that will be reflected in the finish area
- Registration for the race was not competitive and collect race of pre-registered: in the area within Gaiazza h. 9.00,
- Registration for the walk: Always Close Gaiazza within h. 8:45

Entries can be up at 8.45 the place of departure or by Saturday, September 27, we recommend the prescription by calling 347/90.46.694 (Roberto Porro).
- The registration fee is 5 € for travel,
and € 3 for walking.
- Those registered for running gadgets or food.
- For the first 100 members to walk hat.
- Refreshments on arrival and mid-term.
- Transport fellowships from the area start to finish by the organization.
- After the awards ceremony to h. 12:00 S. Mass for athletes and families at the Shrine of the Guard.
- Possibility to have lunch at discounted prices at the Self Service and The restaurant managed by the Sanctuary of San Giorgio Guard covered by reservation by Friday 26 / 9 the number 340 / 3338344 (Stephen Pitt).

The organization accepts no responsibility or liability for any damage to persons or property
before, during or after the event. The event is open to all provided they comply with health standards. By registering self-certifies the athlete's state of health, the children become responsible for their guardians.
Registration for the event entails full acceptance of these rules and program and participants are required to comply the instructions of the executors of the organizers.

The route, which winds along the route of the former conveyor leading to the Sanctuary of the Madonna della Guardia, measuring 6.550 km with a vertical drop of 495 meters and an average gradient of 7.4%. Every km will be marked with warning signs.
How to reach the starting area (Gaiazza)
motorway exit of Genoa Bolzaneto drive towards Campomorone (left side of the river Polcevera). After passing the mall Kite turn left before the tower paint factory, following signs towards the town Gaiazza. Continue for about 4 km in height before reaching the starting area.
